1.Introduction

Given the escalating complexity of product service conditions, heightened focus is being placed on the characteristics of parts and tool surfaces at elevated temperatures. A high-temperature hardness tester is employed to assess the thermal stability of material surfaces, carrying significant importance in expanding the application scope and enhancing performance of these material surfaces

2.Scope of Application:

This system is suitable for determining the hardness of various materials, including quenched, tempered, annealed, and cold-hardened castings, malleable castings, hard alloy steels, aluminum alloys, copper alloys, and bearing steels. Additionally, it is applicable to surface-quenched steel, heat-treated and chemically treated material surfaces, copper and aluminum alloys, thin plates, galvanized, chromium-plated, and tin-plated materials, as well as cold and hard castings.

5.High-temperature setups.:

1) Heating element:The use of silicon molybdenum rods for heating is known for its ability to maintain stable temperatures with minimal overshoot.

2) High Temperature Furnaces:The insulation lining of the furnace body is constructed using polycrystalline mullite ceramic fiber, known for its effective insulation, aesthetic appeal, extended durability, and easy installation and maintenance. Additionally, a thermal barrier coating is applied to the inner side of the stainless steel furnace body, ensuring optimal insulation performance.

3) Sample platform:Silicon nitride ceramics are employed due to their notable attributes such as high temperature resistance, high strength, and low coefficients of thermal expansion.

4) Heating control switch:The heating system employs a switching power supply (12V, 200A). While the cost per unit may be higher compared to traditional transformers, it offers superior stability, reliability, compact size, and lower weight. Furthermore, it outperforms conventional silicon-controlled power supplies in terms of power utilization and absence of electromagnetic signal interference in the surroundings. Additionally, the system is equipped with a floating-function switching power supply, maximizing user safety assurance.

5) Water cooling safeguard:Incorporating a constant temperature control chiller, the outer wall of the furnace body features a double-layer stainless steel design with a hollow structure for water flow. The maximum temperature control limit is set at 40°C. The constant temperature control chiller serves a dual purpose: it maintains a consistent temperature on the outer surface of the furnace body while also stabilizing and finely adjusting the furnace temperature. This optimization ensures greater accuracy in furnace temperature, thereby enhancing the precision of the testing process.

A sealed working environment is established using a box and gas purification system. Inert gas, such as argon or nitrogen, is introduced into the box and cycled to remove active substances. This meticulous process maintains a high level of cleanliness and purity within the inert gas environment (with levels of water and oxygen reaching 0.1 ppm or lower). This approach ensures that there's no impact on the force values or measurement accuracy of the hardness tester, while also preventing oxidation of the samples during the heating process.

7.Product Features and Benefits

1) Extremely low system leakage rate:

The factory standard for the glove box leakage rate is <0.005VOL%/H, and the measured standard glove box leakage rate is <0.001VOL%/H, significantly surpassing the international standard of <0.05VOL%/H. The system employs the oxygen method and includes an automatic leakage rate detection feature.

      2)After assembly, three testing protocols are employed to evaluate the complete system:

1. Detection of positive and negative pressure changes；
2. Gas tightness testing using a helium mass spectrometer leak detector；
3. Leak rate detection using the oxygen method.
