An independent engine control system, such as Jichai EGS-02, can calculate the gas demand flow according to different engine and gas parameters.This gas demand flow rate is transmitted through the CAN bus to the Tecjet valve.Tecjet valves automatically compensate for gas pressure and gas temperature changes to ensure that gas is supplied at the required flow rate.
The microprocessor in the Woodward Tecjet valve converts the gas demand flow signal and gas parameter information into a valve position signal based on the gas intake pressure, gas temperature and valve differential pressure.
The function of the intercooler is to reduce the intake temperature of the engine.So why lower the intake temperature?
(1) the temperature of the exhaust gas from the engine is very high, and the temperature of the intake air will be increased through the heat conduction of the supercharger.Moreover, the density of air will increase in the process of compression, which will also lead to the temperature rise of the air discharged from the supercharger, which will increase with the pressure, but the oxygen density will decrease, thus affecting the effective charging efficiency of the engine.If you want to further improve the charging efficiency, it is necessary to reduce the intake temperature.Data show that under the same air-fuel ratio conditions, the engine power can be increased by 3% ~ 5% for every 10 ºC drop in the temperature of the pressurized air.
(2) If the uncooled pressurized air enters the combustion chamber, it will not only affect the charging efficiency of the engine, but also easily lead to too high combustion temperature of the engine, causing faults such as knock, and increase the content of NOx in the exhaust gas of the engine, causing air pollution.
In order to solve the adverse effect caused by the pressurized air heating, it is necessary to install an intercooler to reduce the intake air temperature
(3) reduce engine fuel consumption.
(4) to improve the adaptability to altitude.At high altitudes, the use of intercooling allows the use of a compressor with a higher pressure ratio, which gives the engine more power and improves the car's adaptability.
