Compact Package Design and Low Loss 18CH CCWDM MUX DEMUX Compact Multiplexer with Unique Free Space Technology
CCWDM Module Application
1. Telecommunications Applications
*Fiber Optic System Capacity Boost: CCWDM modules in fiber optic networks multiplex diverse wavelength optical signals into one fiber. In metro network access, operators use them to combine users' signals like Ethernet and voice onto different wavelength carriers in one fiber, enhancing fiber utilization and cutting new fiber installation costs. *Long-Distance Transmission Aid: In long-haul links, while DWDM leads in high-capacity, CCWDM serves auxiliary roles. It transmits monitoring, backup data with lower bandwidth needs cost-effectively.
2. CATV Network Use
*Program Transmission Expansion: In CATV headends, CCWDM modules modulate multiple TV channel signals to different wavelengths for fiber transmission to sub-headends or users. Operators adding HD channels can use it to expand capacity by multiplexing new and old signals.
3. Data Center Interconnection Role
*Connecting Different Data Centers: As data center scale and number grow, CCWDM modules interconnect them. They multiplex internal network signals like server data and storage backups via fiber, improving connection efficiency, bandwidth use, and reducing costs. In cloud service providers' data center interconnections, it enables high-speed data transfer.
Compact coarse wavelength division multiplexers (CCWDM Mux) is the mini version of CWDM Mux. Compared with traditional CWDM technology, CCWDM technology uses free-space optics platform which can significantly improve optical performance, in a package less than 1/4 the size of conventional CWDM modules. Main advantages of CCWDM Mux are high wavelength accuracy and stability, low insertion loss, high isolation and low PDL(polarization dependent loss). It's protocol and rates transparent supporting such applications as the CWDM system, PON networks, and CATV Links.
HJY offers a compact CWDM module that provides bandwidth capacity expansion for future network growth in one of the small packages. Its compact size and unique carrier tray set it apart, and can be installed in a variety of field situations.
The compact CWDM is ultra low loss, super thermal stability, and excellent reliability, with smaller size compact design to save much space in the application. Applicable to CWDM system and optional special service

Unique Free-Space Technology
The CCWDM Mux adopts Free-Space technology, which uses light propagating in free space to wirelessly transmit data. Inside the device, adjacent signal channels are cascaded by parallel beam instead of the fiber. This saves a lot of space for package box, and the unique workmanship also helps CCWDM Mux Demux with low insertion loss.
Comparison between CCWDM and CWDM
Insertion Loss <2.6 dB
The insertion loss of CCWDM Mux is about half of the conventional CWDM Mux. This reduces the overall loss of the whole link, and leaves more choices for the design of the solution.
Compact Package Design
CCWDM Mux uses the parallel beam for cascading instead of the fiber, which saves significant space. The minimum dimension of CCWDM aluminum box module is less than the 1/4 size of minimum CWDM ABS pigtailed module.
