Boats made of molybdenum-lanthanum are also available with improved ductility and creep resistance. The molybdenum boat can avoid premature embrittlement or fracture by doping a tiny amount of lanthanum oxide (0.3%–0.7%) into pure molybdenum. This method has a more stable microstructure and greater recrystallization temperature.
