This 1:20 scale model, reflecting a sleek and modern metal aesthetic, stands as a testament to cutting-edge construction techniques and technological integration. With dimensions measuring 3.2 by 2.2 meters, this model took 35 days to meticulously craft.
The MiC Modular Construction Showcase sets itself apart by delving into the intricacies of construction technology. Unlike conventional architectural models, this project demands a deep understanding of construction-related technical content. The provided blueprints encompass various file formats, including 3DMAX, SU, BIM, RHINO, CAD, requiring model designers not only to be proficient in these software tools but also to possess a high level of comprehension and analysis skills for construction drawings.
In collaboration with the client's designers, the QZY Models team faced the initial challenge of complex modeling and design. Despite the significant complexity, a comprehensive solution was formulated, and the entire modeling process, from conceptualization to execution, was completed within a remarkable two weeks.
One of the primary challenges involved the customization of a dynamic patent crane system. Simulating the transport and hoisting processes of dynamic modules, the team had to strictly adhere to the design specifications. Given the large scale of the project, the crane had to be precisely tailored. Additionally, the development of a dynamic truck model required the creation of a perfectly flat chassis to facilitate installation and ensure seamless functionality.
With no industry precedents to guide them, the team encountered unprecedented challenges. The development of each component demanded breakthroughs in performance, addressing aspects such as control of motion range, stability of the power system, and overall lifespan of the model. The scale added another layer of complexity, requiring precise replication of the actual proportions. Standing at a visual height of 2.4 meters and weighing 800 kilograms, the model's base construction and installation became intricate tasks.
Overcoming each obstacle one by one, the development team successfully met all performance benchmarks. From the complexity of crafting and installing the model's base to addressing challenges related to electrical circuit quality, assembly debugging, and future maintenance, the team rose to the occasion. The MiC Modular Construction Showcase stands as an industry pioneer, leading the way in large-scale construction method demonstration models.
