316N stainless steel uses:

Marine engineering: The good seawater corrosion resistance of 316N stainless steel makes it used in marine engineering, such as seawater treatment equipment, ship accessories, etc.
Medical devices: 316N stainless steel has good biocompatibility and corrosion resistance, and is widely used in the manufacturing of medical devices, such as surgical instruments, implantable devices, etc.
Food processing industry: 316N stainless steel has strong corrosion resistance to food and beverages and is often used in food processing equipment, storage containers, etc.
The heat treatment methods of 316N stainless steel include solution treatment and quenching treatment.
Solution treatment: usually carried out in the high temperature range (about 950-1050°C), it can eliminate the stress and intergranular carbides of the material and improve its corrosion resistance and mechanical properties.
Quenching treatment: Enhance the hardness and strength of 316N stainless steel through rapid cooling, but it will reduce the corrosion resistance of the material. Therefore, after quenching, annealing may be required to restore its corrosion resistance.
