Is 304 or 316 Stainless Steel better?
Whether 304 or 316 Stainless Steel Square Bar is better depends on the purpose of its usage. For example, if you want to use the square bars for marine applications or chloride environments, then grade 316 Stainless Steel would be a better choice. Similarly, if you want square bars for generation applications at an affordable price, then 304 grade is a better choice. Even though both of them offer oxidation and corrosion resistance, 316 offers better. Similarly, 304 grade has a high melting point, and thus can be used for high temperature applications.
