Coil to Coil Metal Slitting Lines for Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Aluminum, Copper Sheet
A metal slitting line cut a large roll of metal into multiple narrower rolls. The continuous production process is very precise. the metal rolls can be carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum. copper, nickel etc, the slit into the lengths and widths are specified by the end application.
When metal coilmaterial passes through the machine, the steel coil is longitudinally slit by extremely sharp circular blades, the number of circular blades are decided by the number of slitting, the slit positions are decided by the widths of slitting.
The metal slitting machine consists of three main parts-decoiler, slitter and winder. To ensure optimized process quality, each element must be precisely aligned during setup.
Steel sheet is the most widely used metal sheets, most steel sheet is carbon steel, stainless steel sheet is becoming popular and special steel sheet is becoming highly attention in steel market. Each kind of material has its own unique character, strength is different and thus the slittingline capacity, slitting knives, slitting strength are different. Take Hot rolled carbon steel sheet for example.
Hot rolled HR carbon steel coils are thicker range of steel sheets made from hot rolling mill. Cold Rolled Steel coil is thinner sheets made from cold rolling, the thickness range usually below 2mm, the minimum around 0.2mm, slitting process is high precision high speed and thus productive. GI and colored sheets usually are CR steel sheet base and slit on the same slitting machine.

then we calculate the slitting speed, slitting precision and automation. Each slitting line is customized, thus most suitable for customer.
