The Contractor's work and related records shall be subjected to periodical inspection and audit by DES to assure compliance to the approved QA/QC program. A request for corrective action may be issued by DES upon detection of non-compliance by the Contractor. The Contractor shall correct in a timely manner all such deficiencies that have been identified. 1.10.3 Rejection All materials or equipment furnished and delivered under the Contract shall be subject to inspection. If any items or articles are found not to meet the specifications, the item or any faulty portion thereof shall be rejected. The fact that the materials or equipment have initially been successfully inspected, tested and accepted by DES shall not relieve the Contractor of responsibility to make good any defects before Taking-Over Certificate (TOC) is issued. 1.10.4 Inspection and Testing Prior TO Delivery Inspections by DES at the Contractor’s mill, factory, yard or warehouse shall be in accordance with the following conditions:- a) Access DES shall have the right to inspect the Contractor’s or Sub-Contractors’ work during manufacture and undertake such tests from time to time as deemed advisable, provided no delay in production of acceptable materials or equipment is caused thereby. The Contractor shall furnish, at his own expense, reasonable facilities including tools and instrumentation for such inspections.
