The revet mattress has relatively smaller height compared with gabion box. The gabion mattress is widely used in the riverbank protection, coastal protection and channel linings.
Different materials of
Galvanized steel wire before fabrication. Using the galvanized steel wire for fabricating the , which has excellent corrosion and rust resistance performance during using. But the zinc coating on the joints of gabions may slightly falling off during fabrication.
Galvanized surface treatment after fabrication. Using steel wire for fabricating and then electric or hot dipped galvanized treated. In this way, the zinc coating will not destroyed during fabrication and supplier better corrosion and rust performance and longer service life.
Zinc-aluminum alloy steel wire before fabrication. The aluminum added into the coating can supply additional protection for the gabion mattress. The content of aluminum is different. The Zn-5 Al-MM steel wire means 5% aluminum and 95% zinc coating, which is also called Galfan coating. It can also be Zn-10 Al-MM, which refers to 10 % aluminum and 90% zinc coating.
