Seamless steel tubes have hollow sections and are used in large quantities as pipelines for conveying fluid, such as pipelines for oil, natural gas, gas, water and certain solid materials. Compared with solid steel such as round steel, steel pipe is a kind of economical steel with light weight when bending and torsion strength is the same. It is widely used to manufacture structural parts and mechanical parts, such as petroleum drill pipe, automobile drive shaft, bicycle frame and steel scaffold used in construction.
