Working principle of reverse osmosis membrane: the membrane with selectivity for substances to be permeated is called semi permeable membrane. Generally, the membrane that can only permeate solvents but not solutes is called ideal semi permeable membrane. When the dilute solution (e.g. fresh water) and the concentrated solution (e.g. brine) of the same volume are placed on both sides of the semi permeable membrane, the solvent in the dilute solution will naturally pass through the semi permeable membrane and spontaneously flow to the concentrated solution side. This phenomenon is called permeation. When the permeation reaches equilibrium, the liquid surface on the side of the concentrated solution will be higher than the liquid surface of the dilute solution by a certain height, that is, a pressure difference will be formed, which is the osmotic pressure. Reverse osmosis membrane reverse osmosis is a reverse migration movement of osmosis. It is a separation method that separates solutes from solvents by means of selective interception of semi permeable membranes under pressure. It has been widely used in the purification and concentration of various solutions. The most common application example is in the water treatment process. The inorganic ions, bacteria, viruses, organics, colloids and other impurities in raw water are removed by reverse osmosis technology, So as to obtain high-quality purified water.
