Temperature measurement principle
The principle of infrared thermometer's temperature measurement is to convert the radiant energy possessed by infrared rays emitted by the measured object into electrical signals. The amount of infrared radiation energy is related to the temperature of the object itself, and the temperature of the object can be determined according to the size of the converted electrical signal. All objects above absolute zero will radiate infrared rays by themselves. The function of the infrared thermometer is to collect the infrared rays emitted by the object. It will not emit any harmful radiation at all, so it is completely harmless to the human body. Some people have misunderstood that infrared thermometers emit radiation to the human body to produce readings. This concept is wrong.
Ear thermometer
The ear thermometer is a non-contact telemetry (though maybe less than one centimeter) temperature measuring instrument. It uses the infrared spectrum of the eardrum (equivalent to the hypothalamus) to determine the body temperature. According to the black body radiation theory, different The infrared spectrum generated by objects with different temperatures is also different. It is displayed by using a thermopile infrared detector that can be accurate to 0.1 ° C and then converting the readings by a microcomputer.
Precautions for use
Do not use the ear thermometer if you have ear diseases such as external otitis or otitis media.
Do not use an ear thermometer when your ears are wet after swimming or bathing.
When the person to be measured comes from a place that has a large difference from the temperature and environment temperature, they should stay in the measurement environment for at least 5 minutes, and measure after the temperature is consistent with the environment.
Fever patients with perspiration, cold compresses, and other cooling measures will make the measurement results low. Avoid measuring the temperature in this case.
It cannot be measured in places with large air flow such as fans, air conditioners.
Do not use in direct sunlight.
It is recommended to measure about 3 times during the measurement, and the interval between each measurement is 3-5 seconds, whichever is the most displayed data.
