【Intended use 】
This product is used for the collection, transportation and preservation of human ropharyngeal swab samples.
The collected samples are stored in the sample preservation solution, which can be used for the extraction and purification of viral DNA/RNA for subsequent RT-PCR analysis or gene sequencing and other detections.
【Details of Sample preservation solution】
Sodium citrate, Guanidine thiocyanate, TCEP, Surfactant, Buffer salt, Hexanetriol, RNase-free water, etc.
【Storage Conditions and validity】
Store at 2-35 ° C, and can be used to the expiry date on the label.
【Sample Requirements】
The collected samples should be stored in the sample preservation solution. If not tested immediately, they can be stored at room temperature or refrigerated or frozen, but repeated freeze-thaw should be avoided.
Sampling swabs must not be placed in the sample preservation solution before use; they should immediately be placed in the preservation tube containing the sample preservation solution after sampling. Break the swab near the top (with a breaking point mark), and then tighten the tube Lid, sealed in a plastic bag or other packaging container, stored at a specified temperature and submitted for inspection.
The sample treated with the sample preservation solution can not be subjected to the inactivation process before the nucleic acid extraction, because the sample preservation solution contains a strong denaturant, which can dissolve the viral proteins, resulting in the virus being inactivated and losing infectivity.
Freshly collected samples should be delivered to the laboratory within 48 hours. If used for viral nucleic acid detection, purified nucleic acids should be extracted as soon as possible; if it can’t be delivered to the laboratory within 48 hours, it can be stored at room temperature (2-35 ° C) for 7 days; if long-term storage is required, it should be stored at -40 ~ -70 ℃ (stable storage time and conditions, should be verified by each laboratory according to the final experimental purpose).
