An electrode wheel made of copper alloy is a component used in seam welding machines. Seam welding is a type of resistance welding process commonly used for joining sheet metal components.
The electrode wheel is designed to apply pressure and conduct electrical current to create a weld between two metal surfaces. It typically consists of a copper alloy disc that rotates and applies pressure onto the workpiece. The welding wheel can weld galvanized sheets, low carbon steel, low alloy steel, coated steel, stainless steel, aluminum alloy, etc.
The welding wheel refers to the electrode wheel of the seam welder. The electrodes of the seam welder are two wheel-shaped electrodes, the upper and lower ones, and the discharge is continuous or interval discharge. The welding wheel is suitable for continuous welding operations at the joints of thin metal sheets, and is widely used in the welding of heat exchangers, radiators, automobile fuel tanks, iron cans, etc. During welding, the upper and lower wheel-shaped electrodes clamp the workpiece to be welded, and the welding wheels act as electrodes, respectively releasing positive and negative currents through the workpiece to be welded, so that the workpieces are contacted to generate heat, and the workpieces are fused.
