The above T- AT14 Turbocharger's cross-sectional drawing shows that the T-AT14 turbocharger is consisted of the turbine and compressor, and the thrust bearing and two journal bearings which make the axial and radial forces respectively becoming possible. From static section view, T-AT14 turbocharger consists of the coprssor housing, bearing housing and turbine housing.
Distance between two journal bearings is approx. 60mm;
The rotor length is about 300mm;
The diameter of turbine inlet is around D140mm;
The diameter for compressor outlet is also about D140mm.
Usually the exhaust gas turbocharger needs to do the maintenance or overhaul job in every 4800 running hours. The quality of the overhaul kits or service kit or repair kit or rebuild kit is very crucial for the turbocharger maintenance, because the poor quality or too cheap service kits could misshape or degrade quickly and causing even more damage on the turbocharger.
