The above T- AT14 Turbocharger's cross-sectional drawing shows that the T- AT14 turbocharger is consisted of the turbine and compressor, and the thrust bearing and two journal bearings which make the axial and radial forces respectively becoming possible. From static section view, T-AT14 turbocharger consists of the comprssor casing, bearing casing and turbine casing.

The exhaust gas turbocharger is the main equipment in the diesel engine boosting system. It consists of a single-stage exhaust gas turbine and a centrifugal compressor. They are mounted on the same shaft to form the moving part of the exhaust gas turbocharger - the rotor.
