Description:
The 5RTA38 cylinder block is one of the heavy cast iron parts for diesel engines. It has a complex
shape, varying wall thickness (22.5-140mm), and a casting weight of 19 tons.
Its cylinder material GG25, the chemical composition is high carbon and low silicon. The structure
of the cylinder body is a five-cylinder body, and the CAM axle box is connected with the cylinder body.
The requirement of dimension precision between each other increases the difficulty of casting.
