The marine rubber airbags for ship launching, also known as marine airbags, ship launching balloons, and rubber roller airbags, are used to protect and assist ships and barges in safely launching into the water. These marine airbags for ship launching are in the shape of a balloon, made of rubber, and filled with air inside. They are placed under the ship's bottom at the standard working pressure for rolling and transporting the ship. Using marine airbags for ship launching is an alternative launching technology, which is more economical and has lower labor costs. Marine airbags are sometimes also used for heavy lifting and salvage operations in fields such as water conservancy, offshore, construction, mining, and the oil and gas industry. Since the birth of marine airbags for ship launching, they have been playing an increasingly important role. Marine airbags are manufactured in accordance with the following standards and the specifications of two airbag launching technologies.
According to the requirements of the ISO 14409 standard, our marine rubber airbags for ship launching are composed of the following parts:
A cylindrical roller body and two hemispherical conical heads at both ends, which are used to connect the main body of the ship launching airbag and the ports of the airbag. Our inflatable ship launching airbags are manufactured using the original holistic wrapping technology. This technology further enhances the strength of the marine airbags for ship launching.
The reinforcement layer is the middle layer of the ship launching airbag, which is coated with rubber. Our marine airbags use only one type of synthetic cord rubber dipped layer that is wound at an ideal angle.
As a reinforcing material, the density of the warp should be at least 90 cords per 100 mm in width, and the breaking strength of each cord should not be less than 205 Newtons.
The inner and outer rubber layers of our marine rubber airbags for ship launching have sufficient tensile strength and tear strength to meet the relevant requirements. We fully comply with the ISO 14409 standard and will test the raw rubber materials according to the order.
The standard specification of the ship launching airbag is Diameter (D) × Effective Length (EL).
