WRe alloy is made of tungsten and rhenium. One is low rhenium alloy with rhenium content less than 5%; the other is high rhenium alloy with rhenium content between 20% and 30%. Its main application is the filament of special electron tube and color picture tube, parts that requires high-temperature with high strength and plasticity. Tungsten Rhenium alloy made of low rhenium alloy and high rhenium alloy, can be used to measure thermocouples at 1500-3000 ℃.
In addition, for tungsten rhenium wire , WRe25% and WRe26% are two commonly used tungsten rhenium alloy wire, which are mainly used as thermocouple materials! The main advantages of WRe thermocouple are as follows:
Advantages of Tungsten Rhenium Alloy Wire
The thermal elements, which are all heat treated, are available for reaching the specified ductility. Made of tungsten alloyed with 3%, 5%, 25% or 26% rhenium, W-Re alloys become more ductile and machineable. And due to the good electrical properties, they are widely used as high temperature thermocouple materials. And WRe alloy also has fast response and wide temperature application range, up to 2500 ℃. But generally used in inert atmosphere or reducing atmosphere, otherwise need to add protective tube, generally molybdenum alloy tube!
Applications:
Tungsten rhenium alloy wire is used for hot filament of color picture tube, filament and grid of various electron tubes.
