1. Cold runner: the cold runner silica gel mold is equivalent to the hot runner of plastic mold. The mold design is complex, including runner plate, and the mold processing precision is very high. The product can achieve no flash, no nozzle and no waste. When the mold is running, it needs to connect the cold water pipe. There is water circulation on the runner plate. The water temperature is generally required to be between 23 ℃ and 25 ℃, so as to prevent the material from curing at high temperature.
2. Hot runner: compared with the cold runner, the structure of hot runner silica gel mold is much simpler, and the production cost of the mold is relatively low. However, the product has flash and nozzle, and there are many wastes. There is no need to connect the cold water pipe when the mold is in operation.
3. Die size: due to the complex structure of the cold runner mold, the length, width and height of the mold should be larger than that of the hot runner.
4. Mold production cycle: due to the complex structure of cold runner mold, the mold processing production cycle is longer than that of hot runner.
5. Mold design: silica gel molds are all non-standard molds, so how to choose the product mold to be cold runner or hot runner? It mainly depends on the product structure and related requirements.

Liquid silica gel (silicone for mold opening) is relative to solid high-temperature vulcanized silicone rubber. It is a liquid rubber with good fluidity, fast vulcanization, more safety and environmental protection, and can fully meet the food grade requirements.
Liquid silica gel (silica gel used for mold) has excellent transparency, tear strength, resilience, yellowing resistance, thermal stability, water resistance, breathability, heat resistance, aging resistance and weatherability.
