The solidification reaction of liquid silica gel injection mold occurs at the mold temperature of 120-150 ℃, and the mold temperature control is very important

● the mold surface temperature shall be stable: if the surface temperature is too high, the products will be burnt, the parting line will crack, and the products will become brittle. If the surface temperature is too low, the curing speed of the compound is slow, and the product cannot be demoulded, etc;

● the temperature of the mold needs to be heated evenly: the mold is heated unevenly and the temperature difference is large, which will make the flow of the rubber material unstable and prone to the phenomenon of air block and insufficient injection;

● location of heater: enough distance shall be kept between heater and parting line to prevent formwork from warping and deformation, resulting in overflow of finished products;

The reason of affecting the life (aging) of silica gel in mould

1. In the process of mould making, improper operation leads to quality problems of products;

2. When the mold is formed, the product can be put into production directly, and the product will be damaged before its performance is stable;

3. The raw material is not good, and other ingredients are added to reduce the product performance;

4. The oxidation reaction will break the molecular chain of silica gel, reduce the function of silica gel and shorten the service life of the product;

5. The thermal effect is beyond the heat resistance range of the product, which makes the silica gel molecules split or cross-linked, accelerates the diffusion of oxygen, and results in the catalysis of oxidation reaction;

6. Light reaction is the same as heat effect. Different light wave irradiation has different effects on the product, especially UV;
