Advantages
Rotary-lobe-pumps are well known in applications where a low shear is required.
The reasons are :
- The low speed of the pumps,
- The little friction through the rotating elements
- Large chambers inside of the pumps
- Quick flow through the pump
High service life as the conveying elements are guided without friction on eachother. Wear is only produced by the fluid and the contained solids
