Which type of battery is used in hybrid cars today? Cobalt Dioxide, Nickel-metal hydride, or Lithium-ion are the most common types.

Nickel-metal hydride

The lithium-ion and polymer batteries used in hybrid vehicles are largely safe for use. A two-year Toyota hybrid battery warranty will cover all battery parts for 120 months or 150,000 miles unless, of course, you’ve abused them.
