Prosthetic Accessories-Valve With Tube For AK Work With Socket Suction Valve Plastic With Red Rubber
The valve can be provided at the distal end, centrally or laterally, depending on the length of the
residual limb. Detailed instruction for the fabrication of an ISNY Socket using the Valve is given in the Technical Information bulletins. Hold the Pattern for Vacuum Forming in position at the distal end of the plaster cast using a wood screw. After vacuum forming clear the cylindrical part of the pattern. Remove the wood screw and attach the Pattern for Laminating by a countersunk screw.
After lamination clear the area of the pattern by grinding. Remove the countersunk screw and pull the vacuum formed socket out of the lamination socket.
Press the insert ring from the inside into the socket using the enclosed screw-in aid, and attach
the lamination collar from the outside. Fill Plastilin clay into the valve opening at the lamination socket, add PEDILEN foam to the socket.
