Ionpure LX-Z — Industrial CEDI Module
The current density of the Siemens EDI module IP-LXM04Z is usually between 2 and 5 A/dm², which is one of the key parameters to ensure the efficient operation of the module. Current density refers to the amount of current passing through the unit area of the electrode, which directly affects the efficiency of the EDI module in removing ions from water and the quality of the produced water.
When the current density is lower than 2 A/dm², the module may not be able to effectively remove ions from the water, which will lead to a decrease in the quality of the produced water and fail to meet the demand for high-purity water. When the current density is higher than 5 A/dm², although ions can be removed more effectively, this high current density will lead to energy waste and excessive wear of the equipment, thereby increasing operating costs and reducing the service life of the equipment.
The design of the Siemens IP-LXM04Z EDI module fully considers these operating conditions to ensure that within the current density range of 2 to 5 A/dm², it can achieve both efficient deionization and low energy consumption and long equipment life. This design enables the IP-LXM04Z module to provide stable and reliable high-purity water in practical applications to meet the needs of various industrial applications.
To optimize the operation of the EDI system, the operator needs to closely monitor the current density and adjust the operating parameters to maintain the optimal current density according to the specific water quality conditions and system requirements. This may include adjusting the voltage, water flow rate and temperature to ensure that the EDI module operates in the best state, thereby achieving efficient ion removal and high-quality water production.
