Scoring & Timing Solution

This is a general solution for LED display in stadium which has the functions of scoring, timing and advertising notification, the information of referees and teams. It is an ideal choice for most of stadiums.

1. System Chart

1.1 System description:

1) One or two LED screens are equipped for one court, controlled by two computers to display scoreboard, live video and advertisement.

2) Ultra score software is installed on the computer to accomplish the functions of event arrangement, scoring and timing, players and referees’ information and advertisement.

3) The score console is equipped for one court, connected to PC running Ultra score software by wire or via WIFI, working as scoring and timing terminal special for referees’ operation.

4) Match timer: Hanged on the court, display the match time synchronous with scoring system.

1.2 Standalone Edition:

1)Match management, Scoring, and Media display functions, all in one installed on a PC. Referee must do operation on the PC for display directly.

2)It is suitable for the stadium where has just one screen, which doesn't have strict needs of the scoring and timing accuracy.

1.3 Network Standard Edition:

1)Score terminal and media player functions can be installed on 2 PCs respectively. So that one independent PC can be setup on the courtside special for referee’s operation, the other PC running as media player to manage the LED display.

2)It is suitable for the stadium where has one screen, needs to do the scoring and timing on the courtside.

1.4 Network Professional Edition:

1)Except the function of score terminal, 1-3 media players can be equipped on PCs separately, in order to display different contents on several LED screens.

2)It is suitable for the stadium where has more than 2 screens where referee need to do scoring on the courtside and LED screens need to display different contents separately.

(For example, one basketball scoreboard is for scoreboard and another is for advertising or player info)

2. Features

Q1:LED display models are generally expressed in PX, such as P2 P3 P4....P8 P10.What does this mean?
A: P2 P3 P4.....P8 P10 means the pixel pitch is 2mm 3mm 4mm....8mm 10mm,which determines the number of pixels per unit area of a display. So it represents the clarity of the display. The smaller the pitch, the higher the clarity. Usually, the models of indoor full color display are P1.875,P2.5,P3,P4,P5. Outdoor full color display are P4,P5,P6,P8,P10.

Q2:What pixel pitch should I choose on my display?
A:Using the PX screen, it is determined mainly by the viewing distance, the size of the screen, the desired effect and the customer budget. It is generally believed that P5 is suitable for watching outside 5 meters. P10 is suitable for watching outside 10 meters. Of course, this data is not very accurate, and the customer can just refer to it. It also depends on the size of the screen, generally it is considered that more than 100 thousand pixels for a full color display then have a standard effect.
