CR certification, the full name of which is "China Robot Certification", is a certification that is planned, creative, designed and finally determined under the joint guidance of the main members of the National Evaluation Center Steering Committee, including the National Development and Reform Commission, the Certification and Accreditation Administration, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the National Standards Committee. It is mainly a new certification for robot products. The full name of CR certification is "China Robot Certification".

The meaning of the CR logo
The overall image of the CR logo is formed by the letter R nested in the letter C, which is pictographically evolved, presenting a full circle with a vivid image of a robot. The letter C is the first letter of China (China) and Certification (certification), and R is the first letter of Robot (robot). The logo can be interpreted as Robot Certification, or China Robot Certification, which expresses that with the vigorous development of the robot industry and the continuous expansion of its application fields, quality issues such as robot safety and reliability have received widespread attention from the public.

Experts say that the circular logo represents protection and infinity, perfection and completeness. The agile robot moves freely in the circle, which means that the robot industry is full of infinite energy and power under the protection of certification, and also implies the vigorous development of the industry and the perfect harmony in the future.

The orange color of the CR logo is widely used in safety colors, which has seriousness and professional characteristics, implying that the influence and credibility of robot certification can be demonstrated. In the future, the "China Robot Certification (CR)" logo will be used as the unified logo of China Robot Certification. Approved robot product certification agencies will use this logo to carry out robot certification, which will help establish a unified image of China Robot Certification and facilitate identification, publicity, acceptance and promotion.

In the process of using the logo, the name of the certification agency is combined with the basic pattern to reflect the main certification responsibility of the certification agency. The attached letters represent the certification type: S stands for safety certification, E stands for electromagnetic compatibility certification, and E and S appear at the same time to represent safety and electromagnetic compatibility comprehensive certification, which is convenient for the market and customers to judge.

CR certification is applicable to electronic products in the form of robots that can move autonomously and provide services according to preset programs. As long as they belong to the robot product category, they can be CR certified.

CR certification application mode
There are generally two modes for China's robot CR certification application:
A mode: type test, the certification certificate is only valid for the sample submitted (the product sequence is added to the certificate), and the certificate is valid for 3 years;
B mode: type test + factory inspection + post-certification supervision (the certificate is applicable to products of the same model shipped from the factory), and the certificate is valid for 5 years.
Difference between A and B modes: B mode requires a robot label, that is, a logo is attached. A mode has no label.

Application process
1. The enterprise submits an application to the LCS testing agency (fill in the corresponding application form)
2. The agency accepts the application (acceptance application form)
3. Both parties sign a contract and execute it
4. The enterprise provides the corresponding technical documents, including a prototype;
5. The agency confirms the technical documents and sample review;
6. The review is completed and the test is arranged;
7. The test is completed and passed, the technical documents are sorted out and the agency application is submitted;
8. The application is successfully issued and scanned to the enterprise;
9. The case is closed;

(1) Registration certificate of the principal, producer, and manufacturer, such as business license and organization code (for the first application)
(2) When the principal is a seller or importer, a copy of the relevant contract between the seller and the producer, or between the importer and the producer must also be submitted

Should the robot be CR certified or CCC certified in China?
Robot CR certification is currently a non-mandatory certification, while CCC certification is a domestic mandatory certification. If you want to sell it domestically, you need to do CCC certification, provided that the product is in the 3C catalog. It should be pointed out that many robot products currently apply for CCC certification in accordance with the CCC product certification scope of 08 audio and video equipment, 09 information technology equipment, and 16 telecommunications terminal equipment. In addition, according to the explanation of the China Quality Certification Center of the Secretariat of the TC03 Technical Expert Group of the National Certification and Accreditation Administration for Document No. TC03-2019-01, electronic products in the form of robots that can move autonomously according to preset programs and provide services such as mobile guidance, transmission, cleaning, etc. (such as welcoming robots, food delivery robots, etc.) do not belong to the 08, 09, and 16 categories of mandatory products.
