Description
Metallographic optical microscopes offer high magnification with reflected and transmitted light to allow the user to view opaque items for specialty applications such as measuring instruments for measuring thin films, electroplating coatings, grain size, surface inclusions and defects.
They can also be used for metallic grain microstructure analysis and identification, measurement of thin films, electroplating coatings, microscopic analysis of opaque surfaces, study of prehistoric stone age tools and artifacts, historical preservation, the study of metallurgy, and metal patina analysis.
Our NCM-V1000 inverted metallurgical optical microscopes allow observation of opaque objects that are too large to place under an upright metallurgical microscope. It not only can identify and analyze a variety of metals, alloys, non-metallic material and the organizational structure and integrated circuits, but also micro-particles, wires, fibers, surface coating such as some of the surface conditions. Digital cameras can be added to the trinocular tube to take images and make image analysis.
