The safety level of the laser is generally divided into 4 levels
Class I: Low output laser (power less than 0.4mw), basically does not cause harm to the eyes, can ensure the safety of the design, no special management is required.
Class II: Low-output visible laser (power 0.4-0.85mw), usually less than 1mw laser, can cause dizziness and unable to think, use closed eyes to protect, generally can eliminate the symptoms. Do not observe directly in the beam, and do not directly irradiate the eyes of others with a laser less than 1mw. Use a remote viewing device to observe the Class II laser on the surface.
Class III has IIIA and IIIB levels
Class IIIA is a continuous laser of visible light, and the output is 1-5mw laser beam. Avoid using distant vision equipment to observe the I laser, which may increase the risk. Like Class II, do not observe directly in the beam, and do not use Class IIIA. The laser beam directly irradiates the eyes of others.
Class IIIB continuous laser is 5-500mw, it is dangerous to observe directly in the laser beam, so do not use Class IIIB laser to directly irradiate the eyes of others, which is even more dangerous
Class IV is a high-output continuous laser (greater than 500mw), higher than the third level, there is a danger of fire, diffuse reflection is also dangerous, especially noteworthy. Children, please avoid watching this type of laser directly.
