How Laser Clean :
The laser cleaning systems combine power and versatility with the lowest operating cost of all industrial cleaning methods.
As metals have high reflection, laser pulse is extremely fast and stays on metal surface for very short time to avoid damaging the surface.
On the other hand, the metal rust will be vaporized under laser beams and substrate metals surface will reflect laser beam so that it will not be damaged. Even the letters and bolts will be perfectly cleaned.
The working principle for laser cleaning machine (laser derusting machine) is that contaminant on base materials absorb laser energy and vaporized to realize cleaning.
Oxide and Contaminant Removal :
Oxide layers absorb laser light particularly well and thus can be removed very effectively. Oxides are instantly vaporized from ferrous and non-ferrous metals to expose a clean oxide-free surface.
After laser cleaning, and before exposure to atmospheric oxygen and humidity, the surface is active and absolutely free of contamination.
The laser cleaning / de-coating process has been proven to remove and / or significantly reduce fixed radiological surface contaminants without creating secondary waste.
