ST149B automatic oxidation stability instrument according to the food in room temperature sealed conditions, oxygen without overpressure environment in a short time to maintain relatively stable, when the temperature rise and pressure, food itself on the oil oxidation of the obstruction will be weakened.
After the sample is placed in the test chamber and sealed, oxygen is injected into the chamber and then the sample is heated.
Oxygen consumption is indicated by pressure reduction.
The measurement is continued until a turning point - defined pressure drop - is reached.
This result, called the induction period (IP), is the time between the beginning of the test and the turning point, and it represents the oxidation stability of the sample under test.
This product adopts AOAC recommended method: oxygen pressure change method. This instrument automatically records the oxygen pressure change in the food oxidation process. Through this method, we can know the stability of food fat oxidation.
Suitable for food containing grease, solid or liquid, including vegetable and animal tissue, can be directly tested food, do not need to separate the grease processing.
