The box boring machine is combined with main boring machine, drilling toos, hydraulic system, electric control
system and water supply system, please check below draft drawings.
(1 Main boring machine is combined with boring frame, power unit, mechanic handle, travelling system, etc ;
Main function is: travelling, boring, support, auxiliary movements.
(2 Drilling tools, include standard drilling step, stabilizing drilling stem, stabilizer, pilot drilling bit, reamer, etc.
The main functions are pilot, torque transfer, and mechanic stone crushing.
(3 Hydraulic system, include hydraulic pump station, hydraulic cylinder, hydraulic motor, valve set,instrument
panel and gauges, hoses and fittings, etc. The main functions are: hydraulic power supply, cylinder movement,
motor rotating, etc.
(4 Electric system, include operation station, stroke switch, etc. It is the control system for the raise boring machine,
it controls all movements of the raise boring machine.
(5 Water supply, include water pump, valve set, water hoses, etc. The main function of water supply syste,
is drilling tools cooling, slag discharge, and oi l pump station cooling.
WORKING PROCESS
(1) Preparation.
Check if there is edequate water and electricity supply.Then move the boring machine underneath the project surface;
Connect the main electric cable to the boring machine. Check the hydraulic hosing and electric wiring, and test running.
(2) Pilot drilling
Drive the drilling machine to move up slowly to achieve one pilot hole at planned depth.
Pump water thru the drilling step to cool the drilling bits and hobber, the crushed slag will drop thru th e chute to mining
truck, loader or other earth moving equipment.
(3) Reaming.
When pilot drilling finishes, offload the drilling stem and the pilot drilling bit, mount the reamer, and start reaming.
Then the φ1100mm bore is achieved. Pump water thru the drilling step to cool the drilling bits and hobber, the crushed
slag will drop thru the chute to mining truck, loader or other earth moving equipment.
(4) Finishing.
When the reaming has achieved the required depth, offload all drilling step and drilling tools, clean the well and the
working site, etc. Finish the job.
