What is Artichoke Extract?

Artichoke (Cynara scolymus L.), also known as French lily, artichoke, and chrysanthemum thistle, is native to the Mediterranean coast. It is a perennial herb of the Asteraceae family. It was introduced to China from France in the 19th century and has a cultivation history of more than 100 years. Artichoke contains polyphenols, flavonoids, terpenes, fiber and other substances, and is a highly nutritious vegetable.
