How to determine the punching or slotting of the brake disc
Some car owners see holes or grooves in the modified brake discs, and they start to think about using the brakes of their original cars. First of all, we should first understand the role of the punching or slotting of the brake disc. There are three functions of drilling and grooving on the disc surface: one is the well-known heat dissipation, two can suppress braking noise, and the third is actually a side effect, that is, it can reduce weight. It is not that the more holes or grooves, the better. After the friction surface is drilled and grooved, the strength of the brake disc will be reduced to a certain extent. Why should the brake fluid be changed regularly?
After being used for a certain period of time, the brake fluid will have lower boiling point, pollution and varying degrees of oxidative deterioration. The brake fluid itself is a very stable pressure oil. Chemicals and high temperature are not easy to make it deteriorate, but it has one characteristic. It absorbs water in the air, and the brake hydraulic system must allow the brake fluid to communicate with the atmosphere to operate normally. Over time, the brake fluid will absorb water and turn into air bubbles at high temperatures. When air bubbles appear in the brake fluid circuit, the brakes are effective. Will fall. Therefore, the brake fluid should be replaced on time by checking its quality and performance according to the climate, operating environment, seasonal changes and working conditions. In the maintenance section of the owner’s manual, there will be recommendations for replacing the mileage of the brake fluid.
