2. Detailed Product Pictures
A drag link converts rotary motion from a crank arm, to a second bellcrank, usually in an automotive steering system.
The term is commonly used in automotive technology for the link in steering linkage that converts rotation of a pitman arm to a steering arm and eventually to tie rod links which pivot the wheels to be steered. The drag link converts the sweeping arc of the steering arm to linear motion in the plane of the other steering links.

When the ball on the Pitman Arm or the Knuckle Arm (Boomerang) becomes worn or at worst loose in it's casting (NEVER weld the ball in place) - Replace the Pitman or Knuckle Arm.
When the internal components of the draglink become worn or broken and the play cannot be taken up by the adjuster plugs – Replace the Draglink and/or the associated connecting part.
Vague, loose or wandering steering will result when there is excessive play in any of these components.
