Satin Woven Label

If you’re looking for something soft with a luxurious sheen that has a vintage look, you might be interested in satin woven labels.

Satin does not weave small details and lettering as well as damask labels and has more distinct weave. Satin polyester threads weave the background, while regular damask polyester threads are used to weave the text and design on your label.

Damask Woven Label

The most common type of woven labels is damask woven labels. Damask is made up of polyester yarns which come in hundreds of colors. Damask labels and tags can weave fine details and is very soft against the skin.

The word denier refers to the size of the thread. So, the 50 denier damask yarn is half the size of the 100 denier damask yarn, so it can weave finer detail and has the softest feel. The 100 denier damask is extremely high quality, sturdy, and soft. For high-end, luxury clothing brands that will be worn by infants or kids, or have a lot of smaller lettering and details, the 50 denier Damask Woven Labels will be your best bet. 50 denier high density woven labels have the highest density weave available, displays great details and are very soft and luxurious

Why choose satin woven labels over damask?

Good question! Satin is the same price as damask, so making the choice can be difficult. Most people who choose satin prefer the look and feel of the satin weave over the damask. If you are making vintage inspired clothing or accessories, satin would be a good fit. It’s also great for infant apparel. If you want a label with lots of color and detail, satin woven labels might not be right for you, as you are limited in background color options.

Taffeta Woven Label

Taffeta label is the most economical woven label available and is priced lower than damask and satin. Taffeta labels are thinner and more sheer than other woven labels, but if you are looking for a nice, inexpensive label to put on the side of bags, hats, scarves, etc., taffeta woven labels could be perfect for your needs. Taffeta is an anomaly as it is not for weaving fine details in the artwork due to its grainy look but some small letters appear pretty decently. Also, taffeta tends to be the least softest of all of the woven labels, so if it is touching the skin, we do not recommend this weave.

When do I use taffeta woven labels over damask or satin?

Taffeta polyester threads are used for the background, while damask polyester threads weave the design. While taffeta has more background color options than satin, the options are more limited than damask. If you want to match a very specific background color to a Solid Coated or Uncoated Pantone number, then damask would be best.

However, taffeta also dries very quickly, so if you produce swimsuits or towels, taffeta woven labels can be a great option. Also, taffeta produces a grainy, crude style of artwork that might be perfect for brands who want to create such a look.

 Q: What is your minimum order for Woven Labels? A: Our minimum order is 100 pieces. Anything lower than this we are unable to produce at a low cost to you. Which file formats do you accept for submitted artwork??You can send your art in whichever format you'd like. Our Art Department's preferred file formats are cdr, eps, pdf, ai, svg. We will also accept psd, jpg, gif, bmp, tif, png. If you have no other alternative we will accept doc, ppt, xls, wps. No pubs or embroidery files please!  Q: Will I be able to approve my art before my Labels are produced? A: Yes. All artwork is emailed to you before going to production, unless you request otherwise. If you do not have an email address, a sales executive will make arrangements with you to send your artwork via another method.  Q: Will I be able to see a sample of my Woven Labels before they are all made? A: Yes. free sample after payment, we will email you a sewn sample of your actual label within three business days of artwork approval.  Q: How long will it take to receive my Labels? A: Production is normally 6~9 business days from final digital proof or sample approval date.  Q: Is there a standard Woven Label size?
