Concentration 15mg/ml Ophthalmic Viscosurgical Gel is made of sodium hyaluronate physiological balanced saline solution. Sodium hyaluronate was extracted by microbial fermentation. The product helps surgeons maintain the anterior chamber and protect ocular tissue during cataract surgery. Injected prior to the capsulorhexis and then again during different phases of surgery, it affords surgeons time and space during operations; in effect, they allow ophthalmologists of all skill levels to achieve excellent outcomes.
Concentration 15mg/ml Ophthalmic Viscosurgical Gel Application:
1. Cataract Surgery and IOL Implantation
The reqired amount of concertration 15mg/ml ophthalmic viscosurgical gel is slowly infused through a needle or cannula into the anterior chamber. The protective effect of concertration 15mg/ml ophthalmic viscosurgical gel as an aid is optimized when the injection is performed prior to cataract extraction and insertion of the IOLand is effective for both Intra- and extracapsular cataract procedure. Concertration 15mg/ml ophthalmic viscosurgical gel maybe applied to IOL piror to insertion. Concertration 15mg/ml ophthalmic viscosurgical gel can be injected as required to facilitate surgical procedures.
2. Corneal transplantation surgery
The corneal button is removed and the anterior chamber filled with concertration 15mg/ml ophthalmic viscosurgical gel it is level with the surface of cornel. The donor graft is then placed on top of the Concertration 15mg/ml ophthalmic viscosurgical gel and sutured into place. Additional Concertration 15mg/ml ophthalmic viscosurgical gel can be used as required to aid in surgical procedures.
