    • The vertical rail system provides the guidance and support for the mast's movement.

  2. Lifting Mechanism:

    • The stacker crane is equipped with a lifting mechanism that can raise and lower goods.
    • This mechanism often includes forks or a platform to hold and transport palletized loads.

  3. Horizontal Travel Mechanism:

    • A horizontal travel mechanism allows the stacker crane to move laterally along the length of the aisles.

    • The forks/platform then enters the storage location where it deposits the pallet.

  2. Retrieval:

    • The forks/platform enter the storage location and lift the pallet.
    • The crane moves horizontally to the retrieval point.
