1 . Descriptions:
A cooling tower is a device used in pure water treatment systems and wastewater treatment systems to reduce the temperature of water by allowing the water to come into contact with the air so that the heat in the water is dissipated into the atmosphere. The principle of operation of a cooling tower is based mainly on evaporative and conduction cooling.
The hot water is piped into the top or sides of the cooling tower and distributed evenly over the cooling tower packing by means of a sprinkler system or water distribution device. This packing increases the contact area and contact time between water and air. When the water evaporates on the surface of the packing, it absorbs the heat in the air, and gradually reduces the water temperature through evaporation and conduction cooling. The cooled water flows into the pool at the bottom of the cooling tower and is sent back to the cooling system for recycling through the water pump. At the same time, the air that absorbs heat is discharged out of the tower through the fan at the top of the tower to form a continuous airflow.
