1 . Descriptions:
Backwash valves wastewater treatment systems and pure water treatment systems.In wastewater treatment systems, they ensure the effective removal of contaminants, maintaining optimal filter performance. In pure water treatment systems, they help sustain the quality of filtration, ensuring consistent production of high-purity water. A backwash valve is specifically designed to clean a filter or filtration system by reversing the flow of water, flushing out impurities and deposits from the filter media to restore its filtration capacity. The working principle involves changing the direction of water flow: as water enters the filter through the inlet, the filter media retains impurities while allowing purified water to flow out through the outlet.
When preset backwash conditions are met, such as a specific timing or pressure difference, the backwash valve switches to backwash mode. Reverse flow enters the filter through the backwash port, and a strong water flow scours the filter media, removing impurities. The flushed impurities are then discharged through the discharge port, effectively cleaning and regenerating the filter medium. After backwashing, the valve switches back to normal filtration mode, allowing the system to resume regular operation.
