Customizability Water Treatment System - Activated Carbon Filter
1 . Descriptions:
Activated carbon is made from coal, charcoal, fruit kernels, and shells, etc., through high temperature carbonization and activation treatment, and has a large specific surface area (1 gram of activated carbon has 800~2000). Therefore, activated carbon has a very high adsorption capacity, making it effective for both wastewater treatment systems and pure water treatment systems. When activated carbon is used for dechlorination, hypochlorous acid is adsorbed on the surface of activated carbon and decomposed into hydrogen chloride and atomic oxygen. The atomic oxygen and carbon atoms are converted from the adsorbed state to the chemically synthesized state (carbon oxides). Therefore, activated carbon dechlorination does not have the problem of adsorption saturation, but only a small amount of carbon is lost, allowing for long-term operation in wastewater treatment systems and pure water treatment systems.
Activated carbon can not only dechlorinate but also filter out residual suspended solids, humic acid, colloids, heavy metals, and odor in tap water, benefiting both wastewater treatment systems and pure water treatment systems. Activated carbon re-life usually uses the thermal regeneration method, that is, activated carbon in 500 ~ 1000 high temperature conditions allows the organic matter adsorbed on the surface to decompose into carbon dioxide and water, ensuring effectiveness for both wastewater treatment systems and pure water treatment systems.
