Description

Eccentric reducer is a kind of pipe fitting used in the pipe reducing part. The commonly used forming process is reducing pressing, expanding pressing or reducing plus expanding pressing, and stamping can also be used for some specifications of reducer. The process of reducing forming is to put the tube blank with the same diameter as the large end of the reducing tube into the forming die. By pressing along the axial direction of the tube blank, the metal moves along the die cavity and shrinks to form. According to the size of reducer, it can be divided into one-time pressing forming or multiple pressing forming. The expanding forming is to use the tube blank smaller than the big end diameter of the reducing tube, and use the internal punch to expand the diameter along the inner diameter of the tube blank. The expanding process is mainly used to solve the problem that the reducer with large diameter variation is not easy to be formed by reducing.
 

In the process of reducing or expanding deformation, according to different materials and reducing conditions, cold or hot pressing is adopted. Generally, cold pressing should be used as much as possible, but hot pressing should be used in case of thick wall or alloy steel. In addition to using steel pipe as raw material to produce reducer, partial specification reducer can also be produced by stamping process of steel plate. The shape of stamping die used for drawing is designed according to the inner surface size of reducer, and the blanking steel plate is punched and stretched into shape by stamping die. Carbon steel reducer is represented by multiplying the big diameter by the small diameter. For example, "8 × 6" means reducer with big diameter of 8 inches and small diameter of 6 inches.
