It does not melt and only begins to decompose at a temperature of 700 degrees and is resistant by most acids. It may incur some strength loss after lengthy exposure to hydrochloric, nitric and sulfuric acids. Whether you use it for protective apparel, interior decorating, insulation, or any other of its comprehensive industrial uses, it is a high quality, strong fabric that will resist the damage of alkalis, mold and mildew.
