The dehumidifiers use a rotating wheel made of the desiccant material. The wheel rotates between the process air stream and a regeneration stream. When the wheel is in the process air stream, moisture is adsorbed from the air. Then, as the wheel moves into the regeneration stream, a heat source, such as an electric heater, is used to warm the desiccant material and release the moisture into the air, effectively drying the desiccant for the next cycle.
