The 2711P-RDB12C is a PanelView Plus display module from Rockwell Automation/. The module provides a touchscreen (resistive) and keypad options for inputting commands and doing other functions. The 2711P-RDB12C belongs to the 1250 series of PanelView Plus display modules with a 12.1-inch TFT color display. The display module has a resolution of 800 x 600 pixels, a brightness of 300 candelas per square meter (cd/m2), and a 50,000 hours display backlight life. The 2711P-RDB12C weighs 3.4 kilograms and it has an IP65 international protection rating. The 2711P-RDB12C has maximum and minimum operating temperatures of 55 and 0 degrees Celsius, respectively. When not in use, the 2711P-RDB12C accommodates minimum and maximum temperatures of -25 and 70 degrees Celsius, respectively. The display module is also software-configurable using the FactoryTalk View Studio machine edition software. When the 2711P-RDB12C is in operation, it can withstand a shock acceleration of 15 G with the shock lasting for 11 milliseconds. The vibration acceleration for the 2711P-RDB12C stands at 2 G with a maximum peak-to-peak vibration displacement of 0.012 millimeters. The display module can accommodate an operating vibration frequency of 500 Hertz.
The 2711P-RDB12C 1250 PanelView Plus display module has a 512 MB of memory, a fast processor, and the Windows CE 6.0 operating system. These features make the 2711P-RDB12C deliver better graphics with a faster response time. Additionally, the PanelView Plus display module can be interfaced with RS-232 and Ethernet networks through the available onboard communication ports. The 2711P-RDB12C also features a built-in USB port and an SD card slot. For monitoring, the 2711P-RDB12C supports the real-time monitoring of connected terminals through a web browser. Where context-sensitive operator support is needed, the 2711P-RDB12C has a built-in PDF viewer.
