About 2711-T10C8
The 2711-T10C8 is a Panelview 1000 series module by Allen Bradley. The Panelview 1000 series is a durable set of Panelviews, built to communicate with machine controllers (either SLC or PLC) over different types of networks. The 2711-T10C8 specifically has a DH+ port for communication purposes, along with an RS-232 Printer port. In addition to communicating with machine controllers, the 2711-T10C8 Panelview 1000 is an excellent input module, allowing the user to input information and commands through its sharp, 10-inch touchscreen. The display is multicolored as is approximately 8.3 inches by 6.2 inches. This display doubles as the aforementioned input touchscreen, with a 1-million press approximate actuation. Its field-replaceable backlight has a 50,000 hour half-life at a consistent temperature of 77 degrees Fahrenheit, and the module’s built-in time-stamping clock runs on batteries that can also be replaced in the field.
The 2711-T10C8 can hold up to 1008 kilobytes of nonvolatile memory, along with 310 kilobytes of application runtime memory. In addition to both of those storage options, the 2711-T10C8 Panelview can support ATA flash memory cards, for additional external memory storage. The 2711-T10C8 uses PanelBuilder32 software only, a versatile, common software that can also be installed on a personal computer. This Alternating Current powered module requires between 85 and 264 Volts of AC power to operate on a frequency between 47 and 63 Hertz. In general, this module’s applications will consume no more than 55 VA. The 2711-T10C8 weighs between 7 and 8 pounds or 3.2 to 3.6 kilograms. Its size is around 11.11 x 14.58 x 4.40 inches, and it should be kept lower than 6561 feet when mounted. This Panelview 1000 series of modules operates ideally when the surrounding temperature stays lower than 131 degrees Fahrenheit, but higher than 32 (or freezing point). Similarly, it is best stored in a temperature zone between -13 and 158 degrees Fahrenheit. Keep in mind that the 2711-T10C8 cannot withstand more than 2 g of vibration at up to 2000 Hertz and that it is limited to 15 g of shock while operating, and 30 g of shock while off.
