Application characteristics of permalloy: The operating frequency is from 50Hz to 20kHz, and the temperature is relatively high, such as high-precision current, voltage transformers, pulse transformers, isolation transformers, magnetic amplifiers, etc.
According to the content of nickel in the nickel-iron alloy, permalloy can be used in different occasions.
35% to 40% have lower core loss. Such alloys are suitable for square wave transformers, DC converters, etc.
45% to 50% Alloys in this composition range have the highest saturation magnetization among permalloys. Commonly used in magnetic amplifiers, choke coils and transformers.
50%～65% The alloy in this composition range has the highest Curie temperature and high saturation magnetization, which can produce strong induced magnetic anisotropy. Suitable for inductive components.
70% to 81% Permalloy in this composition range has the highest magnetic permeability. Such alloys are suitable for transformers, choke coils, magnetic heads, magnetic shields, etc.
