IEC60320-1 Clause 18.2 Figure13 Coupler Heating Device In Hot Conditions
Standard:Confirm to the IEC60320-1, clause 18.2 figure13 standard requirement.
Application:It is used for testing the heat resistance of coupler in hot conditions and very hot conditions, this device adopts temperature control, precise display and durable.
Test sample:Coupler in hot conditions and very hot conditions.
Feature:standard Only suitable for testing the connectors in hot conditions and very hot conditions specified in IEC60320-1 standard requirements.
Parameters:
1. Power supply:120V/50Hz.
2. The appliance inlet:
-120℃±2℃ for connectors for hot conditions;
-155℃±2℃ for connectors for very hot conditions;
For 10 A connectors, the appliance inlet is flush-mounted and has a shroud of insulating material.
For 16 A connectors, the appliance inlet is surface-mounted and has a shroud of metal material.
3. Test temperature:0-160° can be preset;
4. Test time:0-99 hours 59 minutes can be preset;
5. Coupler center distance: Uniform arrangement by circle Φ175.
Resistance to heating of appliance couplers for hot conditions or very hot conditions
Appliance couplers for hot conditions and those for very hot conditions shall withstand the heating to which they may be subjected by an appliance or other equipment.
Connectors for hot conditions and those for very hot conditions shall be so constructed that the insulation of the cores of the cord is not subjected to excessive heating.
Compliance is checked, for connectors, by the test of 18.2, and, for appliance inlets, by the test of 18.3.
Rewirable connectors are fitted with a three-core rubber insulated cord, having a cross-sectional area of 1.5mm²; non-rewirable connectors are tested with the cord as delivered.
The connector is inserted into the appliance inlet of an appropriate test apparatus, an example of which is given in figure 13, where it remains for 96 h (four days). Throughout this period, the temperature at the base of the pins is maintained at:
120℃±2℃ for connectors for hot conditions;
155℃±2℃ for connectors for very hot conditions.
For 10 A connectors, the appliance inlet is flush-mounted and has a shroud of insulating material.
For 16 A connectors, the appliance inlet is surface-mounted and has a shroud of metal.
The appliance inlets are of a type corresponding to the connector to be tested and have brass pins of the dimensions specified in the relevant standard sheet.
During the test, the temperature rise at the point of separation of the cores of the cord shall not exceed 50 K.
