Product features :
A hydraulic turbine is a power machine that converts the energy of a water stream into a rotating mechanical energy. It is a turbomachinery in fluid machinery. As early as around 100 BC, China emerged as the prototype of the turbine, the water wheel, used to pump and drive food processing equipment. Most modern hydro turbines are installed in hydropower stations to drive generators to generate electricity. In the hydropower station, the water in the upstream reservoir is led to the turbine through the water conduit, pushing the turbine runner to rotate and driving the generator to generate electricity. The finished water is drained downstream through the tailpipe. The higher the head and the greater the flow, the greater the output power of the turbine.
The Francis turbine, also known as the Francis turbine, is a type of counter-turbine that was invented by American engineer Francis in 1849 and is also known as the Francis turbine or the radial-shaft turbine. The water flows radially from the periphery into the runner and then flows out of the runner approximately axially. The runner consists of the upper crown, the lower ring and the blades. The development trend in recent years is high head, large capacity, high specific speed and high efficiency.
Its main features:
1.Francis turbine has the advantages of compact structure, high efficiency and can adapt to a wide range of water head of turbine type.
2.When the water flow through the turbine wheel, it enters to radial, axial flow, so it is also called the radial axial flow turbine;
3.Francis turbine is also called the Francis turbine. The water flow from the surrounding radial inflow runner, then approximate axial flow runner, runner by the crown, under the ring and the blade;
4.It is applicable to the head from a range of 20 meters of up to 700 meters, has the advantages of simple structure, stable operation, and high efficiency, but it is generally used in the head in the range(50 to 400 meters). Single output from tens of KW to several 101000 tile. At present this kind of turbine maximum output has exceeded 700000 kilowatts. A turbine is one of the most extensively used.
